Your idea, turned into something people can actually use.
GHsofts designs and builds mobile apps and websites — including all the invisible machinery that makes them work. You don't need to know how any of it works. That's our job. Yours is to tell us what you want to achieve.
Most people come to us in one of three situations.
If one of these sounds like you, we can probably help.
I have an idea, but no technical team.
You know what you want your business to do — you just don't have anyone to build it. We take it from a rough idea to a finished product, and explain each decision as we go, without the jargon.
I have something already, and it's holding me back.
It's slow, it looks dated, or the person who built it has moved on and nobody can touch it. We take it over, get it working properly, and make it something you can keep growing.
I want it done properly, once.
Not a template with your logo on it. Something built around how your business actually works, that won't need throwing away the moment you get busy.
Everything it takes to get your product live.
Four things, handled by one team — so nothing falls through the gaps between a designer, a developer and whoever set up the servers.
Design
How it looks, and — more importantly — how it feels to use. We work out where every button goes and what happens when someone taps it, before anything gets built.
Mobile apps
Apps and games for iPhone and Android. We handle the fiddly parts too — the developer accounts, Apple's review process, and getting it onto the stores.
Websites
From a site that explains what you do and brings in enquiries, to a proper online tool your staff or customers log into every day.
The part nobody sees
Accounts and logins, payments, storing your data safely, keeping it all running when lots of people show up at once. Unglamorous, and the reason products survive.
Four steps, and you'll always know which one you're in.
No disappearing for three months and hoping for the best.
We talk — free, and with no obligation
You tell us what you're trying to achieve. We ask a lot of questions, point out anything that looks expensive or risky, and tell you honestly if we're not the right fit. Nobody signs anything at this stage.
We design it before we build it
We map out every screen and turn it into something you can click through on your own phone or laptop. Changing your mind here takes minutes. Changing your mind after it's built takes weeks.
We build in short stretches
The work is split into chunks of a couple of weeks. At the end of each one there's something real you can open and try — not a progress bar and a status email. You can change direction between chunks.
We launch it, then stick around
We handle the launch itself — the app stores, the servers, the domain, the monitoring that tells us if something breaks at 3am. Then we keep it updated as phones, and your business, change.
A real example, start to finish.
Love Tiles
A puzzle game for phones — and everything that has to exist behind it. Players create an account, and their progress follows them if they switch phones. They can buy extras, or watch a short advert to earn a reward instead.
The part we're proudest of isn't in the game at all. We built the team their own control panel, so they can add new levels, make them harder or easier, and upload new artwork whenever they like — without calling a developer or waiting for an update.
What working with us is actually like.
One team, from first sketch to launch
You're not managing a designer, a separate developer and a hosting company who all blame each other. One team owns the whole thing, so problems get fixed instead of forwarded.
We explain things properly
No wall of technical terms designed to make you nod along. If a decision affects your budget, your timeline or your customers, we'll explain it in words you can repeat to someone else.
You own all of it
The designs, the code, the accounts, the domain. If you ever want to take it to another team, you can — everything is handed over properly. No hostage-taking, no lock-in.
Launch day isn't the end
Phones update, rules change, and your business moves on. We stay available afterwards to keep things working — as an ongoing arrangement or just when you need us.
For the technically minded.
If none of the following means anything to you, that's completely fine — worrying about it is what you'd be hiring us for. We choose dependable, widely-used technology rather than whatever is fashionable, so your product is easy for any competent team to pick up later.
The things everyone asks first.
What will it cost?
How long does it take?
I don't know exactly what I want yet. Is that a problem?
Do I own the code, or do you?
What happens after it launches?
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
Tell us what you're trying to build.
Send us a couple of lines about your idea — what it should do and roughly when you'd like it. We'll reply with honest thoughts on how to approach it, and whether we're the right people for it. No cost, no sales pitch.
